There isn't too much to be done unless you send to coding to somebody or have someone over. The pre-made layouts are usually made with CSS coding so unless you understand it or have somebody around who does, there isn't much anybody on here can do.

Did you use a layout that was premade from another website such as www.myspacelayouts.org? If so, it could be set so that the picture fades. If the layout is your own, go into edit and its something called transparency,Make sure is set at 0 %. Hope that helps!
